"The first step to getting somewhere is to decide you’re not going to stay where you are.”
– J.P. Morgan

Let's be honest, many people are in the gutter, and they need to unf**k their life right?

Even I go through phases of needing a hard reset to become less chaotic and more structured.

The thing is, they're too emotional about it all...If they could just see their life as a project, they'd be much better at handling adversities & challenges.

If you're really good with numbers, you'll probably have a spreadsheet for most things that 99% of people wouldn't.

I heard one person had a spreadsheet of the pros and cons of getting married to his fiance, turns out there were more cons but he did it anyway...

If you're really into sports you'd probably make philosophical life or business analogies using sporting examples right?

So, if you're reading this and your life is a bit of a mess right now [meaning you're overwhelmed with the number of tasks you have on your plate, your good habits & mindsets come and go and never take much effect] and you're pretty good at business; then start running your life like a business!

Here's how I run my life like a business, below are my 5 principles.

These principles will help you;

→ get more done in less time.

→ perform like an AI machine.

→ remove distractions & focus attention.

"well, I don't want to be so robotic and rigid."

The same people are overwhelmed, unfit, low energy & underachieving in their daily tasks.

The beauty of systemising your life and health like a business is that it gives you more freedom.

So you can spend more time doing things you enjoy, get your work done at a higher standard and be more present with current tasks or habits instead of thinking and trying to solve problems in the future.

My 5 principles look like this:

  1. Outsource & Automate [almost] everything.
Granted, you might be the best at what you do in your department, company or even industry, but if other people can do it 80% as well as you, that's good enough to build a system around it and step out. When it comes to your health, you do exactly the same but you automate it [because no one else can do the health stuff for you unfortunately - not even me...]. You commit to the routine/ritual so you don't have to rely on willpower or motivation to get to the gym or eat the right things.
  2. Energy is your most valuable asset.
High energy in business brings certainty to sales meetings and high levels of productivity and earns you and/or the business more money. If you save time by delegating but don't utilise that time, it's totally useless. High energy day-to-day comes from protecting & optimising your habits & attention. It's a bit like the chicken and egg situation, your energy is generally higher if you indulge in good habits, but equally, being consistent with good habits come from applying your energy into the right places...get it right.
  3. Build solid foundations.
Without a stable base, buildings wouldn't last. Neither will your habits. I created a Decentralised Habit System for you to view [free] that stops your habits from "domino-ing" out of control when 1 thing is removed from the equation.
  4. Prioritise ruthlessly.
Not everything deserves your time. In business, you should be focusing on your key levers. Focus only on tasks and activities that align with your goals or contribute directly to your well-being and progress. Keep asking yourself: “is this essential, or is it a distraction?”
  5. Schedule ‘white space'.
We don't need to label it "Self-Care Sundays Babes" but structure your day with intentional downtime. When you run a business or a project, you need space to be creative to allow ideas to flow, just like you need clarity to flow into your mind to consider which things you're leaving on the back seat regarding your health and life. This is your mental reset button, helping you stay resilient, creative, and ready to perform.

Why these principles matter:

When you treat life with the same precision as a high-performing business, you aren’t just more productive - you’re also more fulfilled, less emotional about setbacks and don't have to rely on motivation & willpower.

Setting up these systems frees you from busy work and decision fatigue. You gain clarity and consistency....and you’ll realise the main benefit: the freedom to focus on what truly matters.

97% of people don’t write down clear goals.

Out of the 3% that do, most focus too much on the outcome.

Success in your health endeavours is determined by the quality & consistency of your inputs, rather than by ruminating over the outcomes.

Write your goals, focus on the habits & understand setbacks aren't setbacks, they're signs you're on the right path.
